Punjab Budget: The Punjab government has presented the state budget for the financial year 2023-24. In this, priority has been given to education and health sector. This includes opening of new medical colleges and arranging roof top solar systems for schools. It has been cleared in the budget of Punjab that now the work of teachers in schools will be limited to teaching only. Administrative responsibilities will be with the school managers. Apart from this, allocation of money has also been made to build libraries in government colleges. At present, libraries will be built in the government colleges in the state, for which Rs 68 crore has been allocated. To strengthen medical education, new medical colleges will be opened in Kapurthala and Hoshiarpur districts. Rs 17,072 crore has been proposed to lay emphasis on school and higher education. This is 12 percent more than last year. If the children of 11th class give any creative idea, such as for the invention of something, then they will be given Rs 2000 as an incentive amount. Arrangements will be made to install roof top solar systems in all schools, for which Rs 100 crore has been allocated.
