big news! Now there will be no ICAR AIEEA exam, CUET will be applicable in agriculture admission also

All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA) UG has been discontinued. National Testing Agency (NTA) has given this information in a notification issued recently. The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) will now use Common University Entrance Test, Undergraduate or say CUET UG, for admission here. Admission will be given on 20 percent seats of All India Quota in the academic session 2023-24 through CUET UG.

ICAR AIEEA and CUET entrance tests are conducted by NTA itself. ICAR UG Exam is conducted every year by National Testing Agency through All India Entrance Exam for admission in UG degree in Agriculture and Allied Science. However, NTA has decided to discontinue ICAR AIEEE UG and take admission in Agricultural Universities through CUET 2023. As per the notice, ICAR UG admissions are done through AIEEA. But this year students will have to give CUET.

What was said in the notification?

NTA issued a notification saying, 'It has now been decided by ICAR that admission to some UG courses will be done through Common University Entrance Test (CUET). Till now admission was done through ICAR-AIEEA. The new rules will be applicable from the academic year 2023-24. NTA Official Notice

The notification further said, "Thus, from the academic year 2023-24, there will be no admission through ICAR-AIEEA (UG) to 20% seats of ICAR All India Quota in agriculture and allied subjects." CUET will be used for this. The application process for CUET UG is going on. Interested students can submit the application form by March 12 at cuet.samarth.ac.in.
